WikiLeaks Reveals Saudi Arabia, Turkey & Qatar Secret Anti-Syria Plot

image

U.S. Defense Secretary Ash Carter, left, meets with Saudi Arabian King Salman bin Abdul Aziz, right, at Al-Salam Palace in Jiddah, Saudi Arabia.

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange told Rossiya-1 (Russia 1) TV channel on Sunday that the United States, France, and Britain had also been involved in the secret deal in 2012.

He added that Washington’s allies in the Middle East such as Riyadh acted in a more aggressive manner and even against the directives of the United States.

WikiLeaks began publishing hundreds of thousands of diplomatic and government documents, including internal reports from Saudi government organizations and communications between the country’s embassies across the world earlier in June.

The transparency website has obtained e-mail communications between Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Ministry and other countries.

WikiLeaks has announced that it had already released over 60,000 Saudi documents on its webpage, most of them in Arabic.

Syria has been grappling with a deadly crisis since 2011 with more than 230,000 people dead and millions of others injured in the scourge so far.

The US and its allies are rendering support for the militants fighting against the Syrian government forces.

Classified reports from a number of Saudi institutions, including the Ministry of Interior and the Kingdom’s General Intelligence Services, were among the published documents.

Back in 2010, Assange won international prominence and angered the US administration by publishing hundreds of thousands of secret US military and diplomatic documents, including those related to the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.

US Special Forces sent to Syria as ‘human shields’ to salvage terror assets

Obama’s decision to send Special Forces into Syria is being widely viewed as a US military escalation in the country. The troop dispatch also signals that the US trying to forestall Russian successes in wiping out Washington’s regime-change assets in Syria.

In short, the US Special Forces are being used as “human shields” to curb Russian air strikes against anti-government mercenaries, many of whom are instrumental in Washington’s regime-change objective in Syria.

First of all, we need to view a host of developments, including the hastily convened “peace talks” in Vienna, as a response by the US and its allies to the game-changing military intervention by Russia. That intervention, beginning on September 30, has not only dealt massive blows to militants, it has completely changed the balance of forces to give the Assad government the upper hand in the war against foreign-backed extremists. That, in turn, has sent the US-led powers trying to topple Damascus into disarray.

Recall the scattered reactions from Washington and its allies, including Britain, France, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Qatar. At first, Washington tried to rubbish Vladimir Putin’s order to aid his Syrian ally with airstrikes as “doomed to fail”.

Then there were overblown, unverified, claims of civilian casualties from Russian strikes, plus there were American claims that Russian cruise missiles had gone wildly astray, hitting Iran. There was also much angst over Russia striking “moderate rebels” instead of the Islamic State terror network. All such accusations, encouraged with Western media amplification, were designed to undermine Russia’s military operation.

Then there were threats from Saudi Arabia and Qatar that they would launch direct military action in Syria to “protect” the populace from the joint firepower of Assad and Putin. That idea was quickly shelved (one wonders by whom?).

Another seeming knee-jerk response came from Turkey and rightwing politicians and pundits in the US which revived talks about the creation of “safe havens” in northern Syria, ostensibly to protect civilian refugees, but also tacitly and more importantly, to give cover to “rebel” groups from Russian air strikes and Syrian government ground troops.

None of these reactions have gained credibility despite Western media hype. On the contrary, it soon became clear that Russia’s military intervention in Syria was a masterstroke by Putin, wiping out large swathes of the anti-government mercenaries, stabilizing the Assad government, and winning much popular support both within Syria and across the Middle East, and indeed around the world.

Last week, America’s top military official, General Joseph F Dunford, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, told a Senate committee that Russia’s air support had changed everything. “The balance of forces right now are in Assad’s advantage,” he said.

This is the context in which to interpret the latest, surprise move by Obama to send Special Forces into Syria. It is more about inhibiting Russian success in destroying the sundry anti-regime forces on the ground than about either “helping the fight against Islamic State” as claimed, or about misgivings of a large-scale American invasion.

The troop contingent that Obama has ordered amounts to 50 Special Forces personnel. That is hardly going to be a decisive blow to Islamic State militants, even if we believe the official rationale for their deployment.

The White House, in its announcement, was at pains to emphasize that the troops would not be in a combat role and would only be acting to “advise and train” Kurdish fighters and others belonging to the little-known Syrian Arab Coalition.

But here is perhaps the significant part of the story. “The move could potentially put the American troops in the cross hairs of Russia,” reports the New York Times. Significantly, too, the Pentagon will not be informing the Russian military of the exact whereabouts of its ground personnel.

That suggests that the real purpose for Obama sending in the troops is to restrict Russian offensive operations by introducing the risk of bombing American forces. In effect, the US Special Forces are being used as human shields to protect American regime-change assets on the ground.

These assets include an array of jihadist mercenary brigades, which the US and its allies have invested billions of dollars in for the objective of regime change in Syria. The misnomer of “moderate rebels” belies abundant evidence that the mercenaries include Al Qaeda-linked terror groups, including Islamic State. CIA supplies of anti-tank TOW missiles as well as Toyota jeeps are just a glimpse of the foreign covert-sponsorship.

Russia’s devastating air campaign over the past month – over 1,600 targets destroyed according to Moscow – has no doubt caused apoplexy in Washington, London, Paris, Ankara, Riyadh and Doha. An urgent stop to their “losses” had to be invoked. But the foreign sponsors can’t say it openly otherwise that gives the game away about their criminal involvement in Syria’s war.

This perspective most likely explains the hastily convened “peace conference” in Vienna. US Secretary of State John Kerry’s apparent concern to “stop the bloodshed” does not seem credible as the primary motive. Why the concern now after nearly five years of bloodshed?

It is not about a “quest for peace” as the BBC reported. The move is more credibly about Washington and its allies maneuvering to give their regime-change assets in Syria a reprieve from Russia’s firepower. One of the main points agreed in Vienna this weekend is the implementation of a “nation-wide ceasefire”.

Another indicator of what is really going on are reports this week of the large-scale airlifting of jihadist mercenary groups out of Syria. According to senior Syrian army intelligence, up to 500 mercenaries were flown to Yemen onboard Turkish, Qatari and Emirati planes. The fighters were brought to Yemen’s southern city of Aden from where they were dispatched to battle zones inside Yemen by the American-coordinated Saudi coalition. The US-Saudi coalition is waging war in Yemen to reinstall the regime of exiled President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi ousted by Houthi rebels earlier this year.

Aden is under the military control of Saudi and Emirati forces and Yemen’s airspace has been closed off by the coalition coordinated by US and British military planners based in Saudi capital Riyadh. It is inconceivable that plane loads of jihadists could be flown into southern Yemen without the knowledge of Washington.

So what we are seeing here is a concerted effort by Washington and its allies to stem their covert military losses in Syria. Sending in American Special Forces – a seemingly dramatic U-turn by Obama to put boots on the ground in Syria – is just one part of a wider effort to forestall Russian success in stabilizing Syria. These US forces are not about a “deepening of American involvement in a war [Obama] has tried to avoid”, as the New York Times would have us believe. They are being sent in to act as human shields against Russian airstrikes.

The putative ceasefire under a so-called peace process is another element of the US-led salvage operation. The real agenda is about giving Western, Turk and Arab-sponsored jihadists a space to regroup, and if needs be flown out of the Syrian theatre to resume their imperialist function in Yemen and, no doubt, elsewhere when required

Brzezinski: Obama should retaliate if Russia doesn’t stop attacking U.S. assets

The United States should threaten to retaliate if Russia does not stop attacking U.S. assets in Syria, former national security adviser Zbigniew Brzezinski wrote in a Financial Times op-ed published Sunday, urging “strategic boldness,” with American credibility in the Middle East and the region itself at stake.

Moscow’s apparent decision to strike non-Islamic State targets and those of Syrian rebels backed by the Central Intelligence Agency “at best” reflects “Russian military incompetence,” and worst, “evidence of a dangerous desire to highlight American political impotence,” wrote Brzezinski, the national security adviser for former President Jimmy Carter and a strong supporter of current President Barack Obama.

And if Russia continues to pursue non-ISIL targets, the U.S. should retaliate, he added.

“In these rapidly unfolding circumstances the U.S. has only one real option if it is to protect its wider stakes in the region: to convey to Moscow the demand that it cease and desist from military actions that directly affect American assets,” he said.

“The Russian naval and air presences in Syria are vulnerable, isolated geographically from their homeland,” Brzezinski noted. “They could be ‘disarmed’ if they persist in provoking the US.”

The problem in the Middle East is bigger than Syria, Brzezinski wrote, and it would behoove Russia to cooperate with the U.S., who cannot as it did in the past, rely upon the United Kingdom and France to play a “decisive role” in the region.

“But, better still, Russia might be persuaded to act with the U.S. in seeking a wider accommodation to a regional problem that transcends the interests of a single state,” he added.

Instead of what he calls a “new form of neocolonial domination,” the United States, along with China and Russia, must act in concert to protect their mutual interests, he warned.

“China would doubtless prefer to stay on the sidelines. It might calculate that it will then be in a better position to pick up the pieces. But the regional chaos could easily spread northeastward, eventually engulfing central and northeastern Asia. Both Russia and then China could be adversely affected. But American interests and America’s friends — not to mention regional stability — would also suffer. It is time, therefore, for strategic boldness,” he concluded.

Putin Declares Syria A “No Fly Zone”…While Obama Is Laser Focused On Gun Control

image

After years of debating a U.S.-led no-fly zone inside Syria to protect rebels and civilians, Vladimir Putin has established his own no-fly zone in a matter of days — to protect his new base there.

In the U.S. there is an increasing bipartisan call for the U.S. to move toward some form of a no-fly zone or humanitarian buffer zone in Syria. Hillary Clinton said Thursday that if she were in office, she would be advocating for a no-fly zone to protect civilians and stem the flow of refugees. Putin made it look easy.

NATO’s supreme allied commander for Europe, General Philip Breedlove, was the first top Western official to publicly state that Russia’s new military infrastructure inside Syria, which includes anti-aircraft defense systems, was a de facto no-fly zone. He warned on Tuesday that Russia had created a new anti-access/area-denial bubble in Syria where U.S. planes could no longer travel.

He said the “very sophisticated air defense capabilities” were not aimed at the Islamic State. “They’re about something else,” he said.

On Thursday, the Pentagon confirmed the extent of the new Russian no-fly zone in Syria when it announced that the U.S. and Russia had begun discussions on how to “deconflict” their air operations there, led by the acting assistant secretary of defense for international security affairs, Elissa Slotkin. Slotkin told her Russian interlocutors that the U.S. is concerned Russia strikes don’t seem to be targeting the Islamic State, but rather some other opposition groups, including those supported by the United States.

But the U.S. government won’t commit to using American air power to defend the rebels, the Pentagon’s press secretary, Peter Cook, told reporters Thursday. He did not confirm that Russia was attacking the U.S.-backed rebels.

“I’m not going to get into hypothetical situations,” he said. “We have made clear the importance of the moderate Syrian opposition, in terms of Syria’s political future, and that anything done to harm that moderate Syrian opposition is counterproductive to the end result that we believe is necessary, and that is a political transition in Syria.”

On Thursday the Obama administration was said to be weighing whether the U.S. would respond to Russian attacks on the rebels America has supported.

Administration officials argue that the new deconfliction talks with Russia are prudent for safety reasons and do not amount to a de facto legitimization of Putin’s new role in the Syrian civil war. But at the same time, there is an effort to reengage Russia on the diplomatic track.

Secretary of State John Kerry and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov have had three meetings this week on renewing discussions for a political solution in Syria. Those discussions would not seek to oust Russia’s new military presence there, which the Obama administration is now accepting as a fait accompli.

Intel Source Warns ‘War Imminent,’ US To Blame Russia For ‘First Shot,’ And ‘Syria Will Be The Game Changer’

A trusted source reached out to ANP recently, a source who has provided highly accurate information in the past, and with very close connections to the Intelligence community. The information imparted by our source warns us of plans within U.S. leadership and military that are being implemented right now as seen in headlines generated by the MSM (Washington’s propaganda arm) after this information was given to us.

The key points shared with ANP include;

1) War is imminent;
2) Will kick off in Syria when US soilders fire first upon Russian soilders…from here the US will tell our ppl the Russians fired first
3) JH15 (Jade Helm 15) is to prep for war here in the states.
4) Keep your eyes open with Syria…it will be the game changer.

The U.S. leadership, using the MSM as their water carriers, have already started implementing the propaganda portion of the upcoming war with dire warnings of the U.S. moving to “block Russia” from a “military buildup in Syria,” as reported on September 8, 2015 by the New York Times.
AFP, via Yahoo News follows the same script by describing Russia as the “enemy” in the following manner:
The aircraft have landed at the airport in Latakia on Syria’s Mediterranean coast over the past several days, US officials told AFP on condition of anonymity.

Two of the aircraft were giant Antonov-124 Condor planes and a third was a passenger flight, one of the officials said.
The Russians have installed modular housing units — enough for “hundreds” of people — at the airport, as well as portable air traffic control equipment, the official noted.

“All of this seems to be suggesting that Russia is planning to do some sort of forward air-operating hub out of this airfield,” the official said.

Washington has expressed concern following reports suggesting Moscow may be boosting military support to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and had sent a military advance team to the war-torn country.

We know from previous reports that U.S. troops have a physical presence in Syria as was reported back in May 2015, with The Daily Beast headlining with “U.S. Troops Fought ‘Hand to Hand’ in Syria Raid,” and USA Today confirmed those reports in an article titled “U.S. troops kill top ISIL commander in raid inside Syria.”
It is noteworthy that while the AFP report states “”Our concern would be that any effort to bolster the Assad regime right now would potentially be destabilizing,” Pentagon press secretary Peter Cook said Tuesday,” not one MSM report regarding this conflict reminds their readers the U.S. first supplied the apparently moderate rebels of the Free Syrian Army with non-lethal aid in 2011 (including food rations and pickup trucks), but quickly began providing training, cash, and intelligence to selected Syrian rebel commanders. Nor is the MSM informing their readers that many of those “moderate Syrian rebels” the U.S. supported and still supports, are now part of ISIS, the terror group the U.S. is using as justification for military action in Syria.

Takes a lot of double-talk, a refusal to report on the history, and the twisting of said history to push the propaganda into Americans minds, so that Russia is being blamed for destabilizing Syria.

PLAYERS POSITIONED

We now have the U.S. military and the Russians establishing their positions in Syria and elsewhere. Russia and China have created an alliance and coincidentally (or not!) recent reports show that Chinese warships entered U.S. waters off the Alaskan coast, while across the country Russian ships have supposedly been spotted in the Atlantic near “nuclear submarine areas.”
We already know that as part of Jade Helm 15, U.S. Military assets are already positioned all across the country as photos and videos have shown throughout the last months.
Other events have recently been reported add more pieces to the puzzle.
For example, on September 7, 2015 Stefan Stanford reported “Russian President Vladimir Putin has put Central Military District troops on full alert,” while their deadliest nuclear submarine heads for the Pacific Ocean.

On September 2, 2015, he reported the following as well:
With the Pentagon recently warning that 5 Chinese war ships were seen off of the coast of Alaska, we take a look at an alarming story from AINonline that tells us on very late notice from the Department of Defense, ADS-B Surveillance and TCAS operations over Virginia, North and South Carolina, Georgia and Florida might become ‘unreliable’ as of 1 a.m. September 2nd.
The National Airspace System has told the FAA that they need much more notice for such military exercises that we learn here will go on until October 1st and will cover up to 200 miles off of the East coast.

[Update] In response to this article I just got off the phone with another source that tells me the U.S. is planning to send more Marines to Syria, furthering positioning for the endgame result already spelled out above.

BOTTOM LINE
The world is barrelling towards World War III between nuclear powers to which there can be no winners, just millions annihilated. A look at the Global Firepower list shows the U.S. is ranked nuber 1 with Russia and China listed as number 2 and 3 respectively, meaning between them both, they have more military might combined than the U.S. has.

If there is a way to prevent what is coming, and that is a big IF, Americans must understand they are being set up, herded towards WW3 by the MSM, on behalf of government leaders, using propaganda to establish who the “good guys” are and who the “bad guys” are.
When the “event” happens in Syria and the MSM starts blaring headlines claiming Russia shot at U.S. troops, remember the warning at the top of this article because the story line has already been written, the scene is being set in the headlines of today so that when that “first shot” is fired….. they will already have established who the world should blame.
